OUR OVERALL INCOME FROM INDIVIDUALS HAS RISEN BY 4%

Support for WWF continues to rise really encouragingly – both financially, thanks to the incredible generosity of the people who fund our work, and in terms of the huge numbers of you who strengthen our voice and our impact in other ways.

Our overall income from individuals has grown this year by 4%, and our total income increased too, with animal adoptions and membership products proving to be very important sources of income. We’re also enormously grateful to the hundreds of people whose generous legacy gifts we received. They contributed nearly 15% of our income during the year.

Our corporate partnerships with household names such as Coca-Cola, HSBC, M&S, Sky and Whiskas are enormously valuable to us. They play a big part in helping to fund our conservation work. But they can also help us as we strive to achieve positive, transformational changes. During the year we announced a partnership with Unilever that will both inspire consumers and help protect a million trees.

We also continue to receive generous support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery. This is enabling us to scale up our work across east Africa – for example, it’s helping two of our projects in Kenya to protect rhinos and marine turtles. And it’s supporting our work in the UK to tackle climate change.

Our achievements are made possible by lots of non-financial support as well. Great numbers of people continue to back our campaigns: notably this year, more than 100,000 of you added your name to our campaign to save forests.

And our engaging digital output has helped us attract more than a million followers on social media – up from last year’s figure of around 600,000. Such numbers provide a really effective way of spreading the word about our work and boosting our impact.

Loads of you continue to give us vital support by taking part in Team Panda events, including marathons and cycle challenges. This year, these and other energetic fundraisers raised nearly £500,000 for us!

And many supporters help us create a buzz around our events. Such as the 10.4 million people in the UK who took part in Earth Hour. Or nearly 7,000 who signed up to take part in Wear it Wild – our new mass-participation event.

Every type of support you give is vital. Our thanks to everyone who’s given so much to WWF this year.
