OUR PLANET,
OUR FUTURE
At WWF, we’re determined to tackle critical environmental challenges and build a world with a future where people and wildlife can thrive. After all, a living planet is vital – not only for wildlife but also as the source of our food, clean water, health and livelihoods. Now and for generations to come.
The challenges we face are tough. We have the know-how, the passion and the determination to meet them. But we need your support, too. Together we can build a world with a future.
We know we can’t transform things alone. We need lots of support if we’re to achieve positive changes at the speed and scale necessary. That’s why we’re educating, inspiring and engaging people in business and government, as well as schoolchildren and the public.
Priority places
We’re finding ways to help transform the future for the world’s wildlife, rivers, forests and seas in areas we regard as particular priorities. In particular, we’re striving to influence decisions that most affect the natural world in four key parts of the global South and East.
These are places where rapidly-growing economies are becoming increasingly significant as they use an ever-larger proportion of the world’s natural resources. And they’re in regions where the world’s most important diversity of wildlife and wild places is concentrated.
Corporate stewardship
We’re engaging the business community – especially in sectors we believe can make the greatest difference – to encourage global companies to become stewards of the natural world that their activities depend on.
UK and EU environmental champions
And we’re pressing governments in the UK and EU to remain environmental champions – particularly when it comes to policies on climate and energy, marine issues and international development.
The challenges we face are tough. We have the know-how, the passion and the determination to meet them. But we need your support, too. Together we can ensure a bright future for our amazing planet.
